Jesse Ross Cabin

The Jesse Ross cabin is located in North Fork off the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway! The hand hewn log cabin was built by Jesse Ross in the 1860s. It is one of the oldest structures in Madera County!

The adventure began as we turned into the parking lot, the area is absolutely beautiful!

There’s a trail leading from the parking lot to the cabin. The trail is fairly short as you can see the cabin from the parking lot.

There was a fence surrounding the cabin with an awesome wood gate! Please be sure to keep it closed during your visit.

The inside of the cabin was very rustic with cut outs of old newspapers on the wall. Reading all the newspaper clippings was definitley giving me Nancy Drew vibes.

The cabin itself is fairly basic but was pretty cool to explore the historical landmark!
